Swami Ritavan Bharati

As Pandit Ananta (American name : Daniel Richey) has been serving H.H. Swami Rama of the Himalayas and Swami Veda Bharati's work for the past thirty years with single-minded devotion, and has done nothing else in this time. In Februar 2007 Pandit Ananta took his vow to Swamihood and given the name of Swami Ritavan Bharati 

Swami Ritavan hold Master’s Degree in the Management specializing in non-profit organizations, Master’s degree in Education with emphasis on experientially-based knowledge, as well as another Master's degree in Holistic Philosophy through the former Graduate Studies Program of the Himalayan International Institute of Yoga Science and Philosophy, Honesdale, Pennsylvania (USA.). His thesis was on Mantra and Meditation. He is also a highly trained and experienced Yoga and Meditation Teacher. He joined the Dhyana-mandiram ( Meditation Center) Ashram in 1970 and has since then remained in spiritual life in a steadfast manner. By the command of Swami Rama of the Himalayas, he was conferred the sacred thread and the title of a Pandit by Swami Veda Bharati. Having been married, he is now living in the vanaprastha stage of life at the Meditation Center Ashram which he has directed for many years in the absence of Swami Veda Bharati. Swami Ritavan is now serving, teaching and practicing disciplines world wide and at Swami Rama's Ashram in Rishikesh. He has trained numerous yoga teachers, has taught for the past 30 years, and guided and conducted numerous Silence and Meditation retreats. A man of few words, his primary focus is on the inner life. Those who attend his teaching sessions will enjoy in sharing such an opportunity and will learn to go into the meditative depth of hatha-yoga as well as raja-yoga. He continues to be trained and further guided by senior acharya Sri Mahamandaleshvar Swami Veda Bharati.
