Louella Gerritsen

Born in 1950. Married.

Over the years Louella, has become well-versed in diverse 'western' variants of yoga. Since 1996 she has followed Raja Yoga courses under the guidance of Klaas Stuive. She is now completing the teacher training programme, writing a thesis.

Meanwhile, for Louella life has become unthinkable without this beautiful, comprehensive form of yoga. She is also greatly inspired by the Himalayan Tradition of Yoga Meditation, and is currently following the Tradition's teacher training programme directed by Swami Veda Bharati of the Himalayas. Swami Veda has the gift to shed new light on ancient knowledge and wisdom, which turns out to be eminently applicable in today's world and which brings insight as well as peace in life. In 2001 Louella was initiated in the Himalayan Tradition.

Together with Willem Meijer she established "The Himalayan Yoga Meditation Institute Netherlands", where yogaclasses and -courses can be found. The website for information is; www.himalaya-yoga.nl

Louella works as a teacher of English and as a remedial teacher in secondary education, and coaches dyslexic pupils using Brain Gym and edukinesiology. She has also taken courses in Reiki. Her special interests are naïve art, gardening and traveling through Asian countries, notably India.

Geboren in 1950, gehuwd. Zij heeft door de jaren heen kennis gemaakt met diverse 'westerse' yogavarianten en volgt sinds 1996 Raja Yoga bij Klaas Stuive. De laatste drie jaar heeft zij de docentenopleiding doorlopen.

Leven zonder deze mooie, allesomvattende yoga is voor haar inmiddels ondenkbaar geworden. Zij laat zich eveneens inspireren door de Himalaya Traditie van Yoga Meditatie. Zij volgt teacher trainingen die onder leiding staan van Swami Veda Bharati. Swami Veda laat zijn licht schijnen over kennis die duizenden jaren oud is, en die in deze nieuwe tijd praktisch toepasbaar blijkt en inzicht en vrede geeft in het leven.

In samenwerking met Willem Meijer heeft zij het "Himalaya Yoga Meditatie Instituut Nederland" opgericht, waar yogalessen encursussen gegeven worden op drie verschillende locaties. De website is bereikbaar op de website: www.himalya-yoga.nl

In het dagelijks leven is zij werkzaam als docent Engels en Remedial Teacher in het voortgezet onderwijs en ondersteunt zij dyslectische leerlingen met Brain Gym, edukinesiologie. Ze heeft tevens cursussen gevolgd op het gebied van Reiki. Haar belangstelling gaat uit naar naïve schilderkunst, tuinieren en reizen naar Aziatische landen.
