While the events in the Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama were still in full swing, Swamiji had to detach himself for another important engagement in Patiala in Punjab where the Punjabi University was busy organizing an International Seminar on Towards Building a Peaceful Society: Role of Religion. The Seminar was organized between February 19 and 21, 2007, by the Department of Encyclopaedia of Sikkhism of this University in collaboration with the International Interfaith Centre Oxford (U.K.) and co-sponsored by the India Heritage Research Foundation, Rishikesh.

This important international event was inaugurated by H.E. Shamdong Rinpoche Prime Minister of the Tibetan Government in Exile in Dharmashala (India). The Punjabi University’s Vice Chancellor Dr. Swaran Singh presided. After the inauguration, Swami Tatsat guided the meditation before the proceedings of the Seminar began. Swami Veda Bharati the Spiritual Head of the Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama, Rishikesh, delivered the Valedictory Address on 21st February.

Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama, Rishikesh, was represented by Swamiji himself, besides Swami Tatsat and Dr. Stoma Parker. On the sidelines of the Seminar, H.E. Shamdong Rinpoche , Swami Veda and the Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. Swaran Singh had important discussions on the interfaith approach of solving national and international issues.
